BitTorrent is what people are using to get the Red Hat 9 ISOs today.
See the Slashdot article about this.

cp *.* /server/share/file /server2/share
List,
How does Linux read and write files to another system? In Windows I
can run
copy \\server\share\file.* \\server2\share
to copy files
What is the similar way to do that on Linux?

Folks:
Anybody know if there is a reliable means of file sharing
between a Mac (running OS 9) and a PC running RH 7.2? Either
direction would be fine (i.e. Mac -> PC, or PC -> Mac).
I've got both on my LAN, and I know that I can burn a CD of
files and "sneak
urn them. It's happened before.
If you need real file sharing, you might look into the various Virtual Private Network
(VPN) solutions. There is at least free solution that allows a Windows clients to
securely connect to a Linux server.

Just a quick question. What's the best way to support file
sharing over the internet?
I know all about the security nightmares of NFS/SMB/NCP so
it looks like I'm stuck with ftp. My problem is that my lusers
have enough problems remembering to insert a floppy before
using A:, ftp is
gradually Atalk file sharing went
to hell.
The symptoms: one by one, users began to lose _all_ access to their Atalk-
shared files. No write, no copy, no create, no read. The error message is
either "file in use elsewhere" or "insufficient permissions".
