Just to see how well anti-aliasing works, I recently upgraded RH7 to the rawhide X-4.0.3 RPMS, including freetype, etc. This seemed to go well, with all the components in place. The X server reports freetype module loads, and intializes the RENDER extension. I edited XftConfig to reflect the path
