i have one daemon under /etc/rc.d/init.d. it starts
fine manually, but it doesn't start whne the system
reboots. i used "chkconfig --add xd" and it still
could not start automatically. if the d script was
wrong, then it should not have been able to start

coulld linux boot up without keyboard? usually i boot
the system up with keyborad and then it it off; but i
am wonder there mcuh be a way that i boot it up
without the keyboard ...

i am using rh8.0. it came with an apache server and i
have some problems with it.
i can see the "test page" but getting error messages
in error_log file:

i686; most of them are marked them with i386. i am
wondering whether i could installed them together and
disregard the lables "i386" and "i686"
