the file names to the old 8.3 format,
and the files themselves still get whacked into a DOS filetype.
How can I convert a file designated as a DOS type, to a UNIX type?

hi folks,
my current configuration consists of an IBM ThinkPad 600E running RedHat
6.1, kernel 2.2.13.
the problem that i'm experiencing is that i get a long list of
unresolved module dependencies during bootup and a few "modprobe: out
of file handle" messages. though all module related functi
am looking for a small, affordable inkjet to connect to my ThinkPad
mostly to print documentation and the occassional business letter. any
recommendations?

just installed redhat6.1 on my ThinkPad 600e, selecting the detected
NeoMagic
chipset w/ 1024x768 LCD display option @ 16bpp. x looks great w/ gnome,

any graphics under netscape 4.61 are very grainy and i occassionally get

Using IP-Chains, I've managed to get an internal NT box to establish a
VPN connection to an external network, however I am having trouble doing
the reverse.
