Recently when i try to change my linux (RH 6.1) password, passwd says:
passwd: Critical error - immediate abort
even in single user mode.
can anybody helpme eith it, am i hacked?

Thanks for the quick responses.
I've downloaded the new boot image but it still doesn't work.
My configration is like:
hda1: ntfs
hda2(hda5): ntfs
hda3: ext2, mounted as root, the only linux patition, this was limited by WinNT when
setting up linux6.0 months before :(
hda4: linux swap
lilo is in
fs on
hda1".
Anybody know how to direct the installer to hda3?
