I want windows clients to acces samba resources only if they log in with
entering their username and password, same like in NT domain environment. If
they dont log in - no resource available. there's not much documenttion on
that and like you said, samba can do that.

Is is it posible for linux to serve as logon domain for windows clients,
simular to what NT Primary Domain controler does. Users to login into
Linux domain, restore connetction and scripts, roaming profile etc..
Maybe samba can do that?
Thank you.

I had the same hanging before. its possible that your sound card is not
configured, but your sound is enabled in enlightenment. Open enlightenment
configuration and disable sound.

Hello everyone,
I have Samba running on RH 6.2 and my Windows 95 clients can acces their
home directory and all the shares, while 98 can access only shares but
not the home directories. I 've been told there is some trick with the
password encryptions.
Thank you.

Can someone please tell me how to close open ports/services on LInux
RH 6.2:
I wan to know how can I prevent services like ftp, telnet, finger, cmd,
ASR to start automaticly every time the system boots up?

Thank you.

dns server for your workstations should be
your ISP DNS's. Thats all. Works 100%. This process is called
IP Masquerade. Mail me if any problems.
Zlatko.
