I installed KDE2 on RedHat7.0 via the rpms.
I am now having problems compiling programs for KDE.
Seems as if the system believes the headers and library files are
installed /opt/kde/include
when they are actually installed to /usr/include/kde
How can I get this fixed?

Has anyone been able to setup netatalk to auto truncate long filenames?
I have a Linux box acting as a file server between MAC's and Windows
machines. When window machines copy long file names to the volume the
mac can not see the files because of the long file name issue.

I have RH7, and before the screensaver in X comes up, my screen blanks out.
It is not the bios, apmd, or evergy saving feature.
How can I have it set so the screen will not blank in X on bootup everytime?

I just installed 6.95 (pinstripe)
In X windows (running gnome desktop) I open up a shell window and if the
mouse pointer is on the window and I start to type I get from the mouse
pointer down to the bottom of the screen a wide white blotch. I also get
this during screensavers, what gives?

want to HARDCODE a default DNS server for the linux box. I put my entry in
/etc/resolv.conf but everytime the interface renews the lease that file is
overwritten.
