I am working with redhat 7.3 and the apache version is 1.3.23, still it
was working properly, yesterda I cleaned the logs so I remove the
/var/log/httpd/access_log file and then create a new one but i dont know
its ownership, now the ownership is root:root, when I started the

I have sendmail-8.11.6, its working properlyfrom last one year...
now I want to some change in aliase file...I did it...and create the
alaise.db file by giving the command
makemap hash aliase < aliase
but when i restart sendmail it not working...
if i keep the old aliase.db in /et/mai

its permission is

when i tried to change its permission by root user
by giving the command
chmod 700 backup
its gives the following error

does sendmail8.12.8 works on redhat 8.0 becuase i am configuring senamil.
but i cold not get the mails from main mail server to secondary mail
server...the sencondary mail server is redhat 8.0 and the primary is RH7.3
so any tips form your side...

and the up time of my server one day before
