I am looking for a WAP imap client that I can run on the web server.
I have tried "pofhq-wapmail" but it does not seem to generate the
correct syntax to keep my phone happy. I am getting compile errors on
the Samsung SCH-8500, I tried it from a couple of the web based wap
browsers and got a lit
I am trying to start the talk daemon in RedHat 7.2
I have enabled it in /etc/xinetd.d/talk
When I try to start it manually I get:
"SOCKET OPERATION ON NON-SOCKET"
Any ideas?

Two things come to mind.
The telnet server is not running, your firewall is blocking access.

mail server. He says it takes 30 seconds or so to connect. It only
happens when he is behind a linksys router. Is this some kind of

I was correct, it was an ipchains problem.
I had to add a port 53 udp entry for the ppp server ip range
in /etc/sysconfig/ipchains
I am not exactly sure why though
But it is working now.
