erently?
Perhaps you are not root, or you did "su" vs "su -"
That means among others that /sbin/ is not in your PATH
try /sbin/mkbootdisk 2.4.18-27.8.0
If you get command not found now, install the mkbootdisk rpm
found on your Red Hat CD's.

I'm on Red Hat Linux 7.3, and notice MySQL is not built with
--with-raid.
I need *big* tables, so
1. Why doesn't Red Hat build mysql with --with-raid ?
2. Is it safe to just rebuild mysql with that flag ?

No trouble so far(Which might mean I'm just lucky).
Though I've heard other VM's having trouble with it,
so export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 might be needed, which I think will
among others force the use of the older LinuxThreads.

Sendmail takes what seems a dreadfully long time to to anything - even
reporting an empty mailqueue using mailq takes about 15 seconds (a
similar installation on a different machine has no delay.
There also seem to be delays in processing mail before it is delivered
to mailboxes.
Thanks,
Nils
I have tried using Expect to automate a password change (using the
autopasswd example supplied with Expect as a starting point) in Redhat
4.2, but without any luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Nils

In the end I'm not too bothered about that, it's just that I feel very
uneasy about having so many user accounts (200+) to manage.

Sorry not be offering help - this is in the nature of a follow-up query.
Which particular Adaptec Easy CD software are you using? I have Adaptec
EasyCD 2.0 - but the discs it makes are unreadable under Linux!
