Does any of you here have the answer on what line I should add to my pam
configuration in order to grant group b just those rights to su to control
without a password? My configuration is included below.

auth sufficient /lib/security
You can backup your current files and re-use them on the new server.
Besides that, don't forget to preserve the users homedirectories as well. It
will work without these dirs, but you don't want users present without their
own homedirectory.
