Have a look to http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/kharker/linux-laptop/
I successfully configured a 210, a 420 and a 430 using hints found there.

I'm not sure if you still want to be able to boot win98, but you should
first check your boot.ini file. Here is mine (I have a quadruple boot on my

Ghost (v6.x and up) does manage Linux partitions but take the time to
carefully read the readme. It warns about potential pbs with files begining
by a pediod or a comma.
I cloned once a linux system and it worked like a charm, so ...

I don't have access to Linux right now, but having modified windows focus to
get them working the way you want, I know this can be done (Enlightement
settings, if I remember).

either in GUI mode and expert mode.
It hangs at the video definition step with a greyed vertically striped

Sure, not being able to position the icons where you want piss me off too,
as well as not being able to modify the grid spacing they are aligned on.
I didn't see anything on this in the various faqs I read, but I'm sure

Hi Rick,
Don't mind, you're not alone. Don't know what happens but I hope this
problem will be solved quickly.
I had a look in redhat site yesterday to see if there was a warning or
something else. Not a word on this.
Maybe someone hacked the list or put it on a NT box :-)
