Download the lastest driver from the Promise web site and follow the
"readme." I just installed one of these last week and it worked well. The
install is a bit cumbersome, but it does work.

SCSI, so you could throw a Jaz into the box and write a script to mount the
drive, back up the appropriate files, and unmount. You could then move the
files to a CD or whatever for long-term storage.

To shut down the interface immediately: ifconfig eth0:0 down
To remove the interface permanently:rm
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0:0
To disable the interface at boot time: edit ifcfg-eth0:0 and change
onboot=yes to onboot=no

that it is proprietary as I have never seen a way to mount this type under
Linux. Can you copy the data to a different FS type? How about taring the
data somewhere else then untar it on the Linux box?
