Hello:
Is it possible to tell which options were compiled into a compiled kernel, W/O
the Makefile used to compile it?
i.e., which options were set during a typical RH install from CD (w/ or w/o
defaults)?
Thanks!

Can anyone point me toward a good explaination of how to set up syslogd to be a
remote logging server? In particular, how do I setup the xinetd.d entry?

? Where
does lib go? Do I copy the contents of the subdir "modules" (another
subdir, 2.2.16-22TMP) to /lib/modules so that I create
/lib/modules/2.2.16-22TMP/ ?
Thanks again! And thanks in advance!

Any suggestions for what all these "warning: this is the location of the
previous definition" are about?
Like I say, I don't get any errors for any of the previous steps.

No, I didn't think so, and ran it anyway. Seemed to work, despite the errors.
Anyone know what that error message means?
Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkimage.c: line 416 (gdk_image_destroy): assertion `image !=
NULL' failed.
Thanks,

Hello!
I'm still looking into upgrading to RH 7.0, and have a question for this list:
Is RH 7.0 ready for production? I've read about a buggy and unofficial gcc on
slashdot, and was curious as to what the folks on this list have to say about
it.
Thanks,
