yesterday I tried to upgrade to kernel 2.4. I got the RedHat rpms for
the kernel and the source from a linux magazine.
unfortunatly I made some mistakes.
I did the upgrade from gnome using the gnome rpm program. after clearing
some dependencys, the upgrade startet, but I got several errormessages.
what makes the difference between a rpm from redhat and mandrek ore suse
or?
i use rh7.0. can i install rpms from mandrek7.0 or suse7.0 or should i
only use rpms from rh ?

I am runnung rh7.0 and have problems with ppp.
in 5.2 I could "write" a loginscrip with kppp. now I do not have kde. how and
where can I now write scripts for different providers.
