Have a Tyan S1836 mb with onboard SCSI; AIC 7895. I just installed RH 6.1
on it, and it detected the hard drives & cdrom running off the scsi
controller and works great.
I then compiled kernel 2.2.14 on it, using the same SCSI module (tried it
both compiled AND module) and it panics at boot
Oops I screwed up a little, I'm running RH 5.2 on this box. I didn't think
there should be any problems but it just doesn't work. I guess maybe I
will just have to play around with it a little...

doesn't work (cant find a file in /proc/net/xxx). I think the box is
running kernel 2.0.38 (not my box) and they dont want to upgrade. Any help

Is there any free software to do ASPs under Apache? We have a few users
requesting to use ASPs but really don't want to run an NT server. I've

Umm, no they are not win printers. I have been using this printer ever
since RH 4.2, and never had a problem with it. I was always able to plug
it in, choose the 5xx series in printtol, and it worked great.

using printtool, but when I try to print anything it doesn't do anything.
My printer light flashes, and nothing else. Is there something I'm
missing? Anyone else have this problem? The logs show nothing, no errors

around with it a bit, it still worked.. you only need the permedia
server, nothing else.. now I just have the problem that I cant get to

Actually its not that (well, if you try to map a drive it is) but no,
you have to configure smb to be browseable. edit /etc/smb.conf, look
for the directories you have shared (i.e. homes) and look for
browseable=no, change it to yes, and off (or on!) you go!

Just setup a RH5 box,, only has a 340 HD so no X for me :( But, I
wanted to know where I could find a doc of the steps to configure the
network card FOR the network. not actually installing the card, or pnp
stuff, but just the route, etc.. All from command line of course ;)
