No, you don't need to create a new directory. Just use the path to the
one that is already there when you create the link (as root).

It's been a while, but I think I was able to import outlook contacts to
evolution by going through mozilla. The .csv route might work, too.

It is easy. The RedHat install procedure will partition and format your
hard disks for you. This will wipe out all data on the drives. You do
not have to do it manually.
