Actually that is a class B address.
The first octet of a class A is 1-126 (127 reserved for loop back)
class B is 128-191
class C is 192-223
since 172 is between the ranges of 128-191 that would make it class B
Class B subnet 255.255.0.0 or /16

add the umask to your /etc/fstab so it looks something like this.
/dev/hda1 /mnt/vfatvfatdefaults,umask=000
hope that helps.

Hi,
I have a Radeon 8500 AGP card, I am running RedHat 8. When I do a lsmod
I get the following
Module Size Used byNot tainted
agpgart42912 0
Is my thinking correct, that if this line shows up, that the kernel is
compiled with AGP support?
When I use the
Dose anyone know of a like command for procinfo? This worked in 7.3 but
doesn't appear to be included with 8.0. Also the lsdev command is no
longer included.
I know I can go through the /proc directory. But these commands were
alot easier..
Thanks

Sorry this is off topic. Since installing RedHat 8, I no longer have
the conduits to sync my Palm with Evolution. Has anyone else
encountered this?

I was running AMSN ( a windows messenger for Linux program) under 7.3
with no problems.
When I launch it under 8.0 I get the following error.
bash: ./amsn: /usr/bin/wish: bad interpreter: No such file or directory
thanks for any advice.

Try checking to see if /etc/sysconfig/desktop file has the line
DESKTOP="WindowMaker"
that fixed it for me.
