Actually, for a home system Having the 'dirty' network mixed with the
'clean' network is not that big of a deal. Assign multiple IP addresses
to the linux Card, such as one that is dhcp from the cable modem and one
that is private IP Space (Such as 192.168.0.254/24) and assign a different
private
You need to reinstall the XFree86-libs rpm. Many things seem to break
those in RH5.x :(
You'll prolly have to do a --force.

Juat did some searching, seems you can just add "mem=16M" (no quotes) to
the command line.
Lemme know how it turns out.

I've always been partial to xearth. Have that running in the background
makes your computer look nice. And mix that with a good markerfile that
contains some personalized markers, makes you fell like yer home and you
know if it is light outside :)

I have the same card, (Love it -- very reliable). All I did was run
xconfigurator and chose NOT to probe the hardware, Choose the appropriate
settings and all should be well.

I have a nice script that I found (redhat-ppp mailing list I think)
Worked for me the first time.
If you don't know what your script should look like then change the
settings for your modem in win95 to "Show terminal screen after dial" and
watch what goes on, Mine I saw:

We are getting ready to setup RH5 Box that will have 2 identical drives.
We want to mirror these drives exactly in realtime incase one fails
(We've had bad luck with the last few drives). Is there a script or
program alrready written so I don't have to reinvent the wheel here?

I was looking in the man pages and I saw that xscreensaver can be locked.
Unfortunately the version that came with RH4.2 is not compiled to lock.
I know that if I get the source and I chose the options to get it to lock
it will do so. I have the source but looking at all the files I have no
idea
ould NOT have done so.
But as long as you have the redhat boot disk it isn't really that
difficult once you understand how it works. (And type the directory
structure correctly.)

In the past few days I have had named crash a couple times for no apparant
