that there could be problems with /etc/shadow and apache. Any solid
workarounds? I suppose create a group and make Apache run as that group

Take a look at IRM at sourceforge. We use it and I find that it works well
for us. The problem is that no one ever wants to use it as a client since
it appears too complicated for the users - although it is SIMPLE.

Anyone know where I can get saslauthd or pwcheck to use SASL with postfix.
None of the cyrus rpms have either for 7.3 I am trying to use UW imap and
postfix with 7.3, but I think I need one of the above programs

allow PROTOCOL 50 and 51 and PORT 500 UDP.

immediately if name resolution is okay. Try verifying the order in

Anyone have any suggestions for a good scsi card that will control a tape
drive (68 pin Seagate 20/40) on RH 7.3? I was thinking about a Adaptec
19160, but am not sure about compatibility since it is a little unclear on
the HCL.

Not sure what you mean by alternatives, but I've been using cups for awhile
with all the additional drivers on 7.2 I got the rpm from rawhide and I
belive it can be used with lprng installed too? all the print commands end
in .cups though. The version is 1.1.14-5

Does anyone know if there is a program that can recover inodes or how to
recover files when deleted from an ext3 fs like using debugfs on ext2? Just
saved my butt on a 7.1 machine so I really would like to know how to do it
on a ext3.

There was an article in sysadmin magazine. It is a little tricky after
install, but can be done easily after the first successful attempt. Take a
look at the sysadmin site to get an idea of how to do it, but there are a
few steps that are missing that you should be able to figure out.
