I've a stock RH 9.0 2.4.20-18.9smp kernel installed. It boots
fine and everything works ok. I'm now trying to install alsa and
ivtv packages. When I try and run configure in the alsa-driver
directory, it insists on thinking that it should compile modules
for 2.4.20-18.9custom kernel as oppose

It appears that 1394 was changed or broken with kernel 2.4.21. My iPod
would mount fine with 2.4.18 but now /dev/sda2 is not a valid block
device. Has anyone tried 2.4.21 with an iPod and found the answer?

There are multiple CDs. Do not just go armed with one. When copying
the ISO to CD, ensure that you choose the option in your burning
application to create the CD

recommend you to use CIPE because all the versions of CIPE shipped from Red Hat
have a "small packets
bug" which could bring you some trouble.

well with Windows XP after installing the software off the CD.
