dev.print will create a copy of the device into another device, but it
won't actually push the data to a paper printer unless that other device
represents a printer device (as win.print does).
Typically in Windows I use it together with win.print as
dev.print(win.print, printer=bl
I have never used, but take a look on ?dev.print
