Hi everyone,
I wonder, if anyone can help me with this annoying issue, although it is
related to Tinn-R and Windows Vista...
I am running R 2.11.1 and Tinn-R 2.3.5.2 together. I saved 2 R-hotkeys:

Hi,
my Rterm does not longer take key presses after I have pressed Left
Alt+Tab in order to switch away from an active Rterm window. I have
found a way to get Rterm to "respond" again. I basically have to kill
the process.
This occurs on a fresh Windows Vista Business 32-bit installation

On the TIFF point -- are you using 2.7.1 patched? It is likely that the
crash is fixed there (it was intermittent and some of us never see it).
Otherwise you have not described what is 'substandard' nor given any

Hi
I appreciate there has been some recent discussion regarding generating
publication quality graphics in R. I am fairly familiar with these issues and
have had no problems generating high quality images from R windows version.
However, I have recently install Vista and what previously worked
OK, so there is a 32-bit version of R that runs on Vista, but no 64-bit
version, due to the lack of 64-bit compilers. Is there a forecast for
when a 64-bit version of R might compile in Vista?

Where does the R build for Vista X64 stand? The last update message is
from July last year (see [R] Improved Windows Vista compatibility from
Prof Brian Ripley on 2007-07-11). Is it likely to happen in 2008? I
suspect that more people will start using it as Vista is adopted more
widely. And
Dear Suzuky,
basically you can run R on Vista like you can on Windows XP.
However, there is one issue about installing additional packages :
When launching R under Vista, by default you won't launch as
administrator, and in consequence you can't install additional packages

R works on Vista provided you have learned enough about Vista to get around
the enhanced security model.
Microsoft One Care software and the overall better security of Vista
is, in my opinion,
much superior to Norton/Symantec/XP.
