you're trying to do, but I think you'll find out how to adjust the

That argument serves a placeholder for the rest of the parameters
you did not want to name and pass explicitely. If you don't pass the

I think you need to set the parameter pch to 19.
- pch=19: solid circle,
- pch=20: bullet (smaller circle),
- pch=21: circle,
- pch=22: square,
- pch=23: diamond,
- pch=24: triangle point-up,
- pch=25: triangle point down.

I've used Dotplot from Hmisc to draw a dotplot with error bars, where each row
of the dotplot has two points. Now I'd like for the error bars to have caps on
