FOr some reason the R installation is failing with the following message:
"configure: error: Neither an F77 compiler nor f2c found"
But I do have f2c installed on my computer:
linux-Ciccia:/usr/local/bin/R-2.6.1 # which f2c
/usr/bin/f2c
I am installing as "root". Is this the problem ?
