A new version of the sp package, 2.0-0, has been published on CRAN. This new version defaults to using the sf package rather than the rgdal package, and deprecates use of the rgeos package. These changes are described in https://r-spatial.org/r/2023/05/15/evolution4.html, and lead up to the pla
