Can you test this with and without kqemu?
When I tested this last, the result of cpuid (and other CPU probing
operations) were differing in these 2 scenarios. Without kqemu, qemu
emulates a P II. With kqemu, some programs are able to find out the real
CPU on the host system.

I can confirm this patch applied alone to 0.7.2 did something for me. I
suspended the PC for 1 minute (just to reboot the machine) and after
resume, my quest win95 was still working. I will of course try longer
periods later.

Hi.
Has somebody tried to hibernate Linux while qemu is running?
Here is my experience:
1. I was running qemu 0.7.2 fullscreen (under X with SDL),
on Linux 2.6.14 host, with Win95 quest. All was fine,
together with kqemu.
2. I changed to a virtual console and initiated hibernate

Hi.
Two points for you:
1. currently your tempfile with qemu quest system memory is located on
disk. Is your disk working hard? If you have enough free ram that you
consider the ramdisk, the whole file is probably cached in host system
memory so that read/write access is fast. Of course there it w
Hi.
I can confirm that the fix for the PAGE_KERNEL_EXEC issue works with my
kernel 2.6.12.1, gcc 3.3.4, i386.
Now kqemu works with Win95! I have one question: there is a setting
MAX_INSTANCES in kqemu source, set to 4. It has influence on the size of
memory allowed to be locked (by qemu?). W
Hi.
I just got the new qemu 0.7.1. Here are my comments:
- I subjectively think it is slower than 0.7.0. Is that possible?
- I compiled from source but had problem with kqemu. It
compiled with a warning but created the kernel module. But
the module can't be loaded into the kernel, is says

Hi.
I am new to qemu, but I was quite successful with it so far.
I have also seen some glitches, so I would like to share
my experience.
My system:
i430VX chipset, Pentium I 200MMX, 48MB RAM, S3virge card
Slackware 9.1, kernel 2.4.22 (custom compiled), glibc 2.3.2
I run qemu with the options '-hda
