Hi,
I'm using the QEMU 0.8.2 Ubuntu package. I've mounted fda as an image I
created with `dd if=/dev/zero of=floppy.img bs=512 count=2880`. However, when
I try to format it with the format tool in WIndows 98SE, QEMU crashes with
the following error:
FLOPPY ERROR: fdctrl_start_transfer: dma_mode
ages where I created them.

Sorry? I'm just making suggestions, I'm not trying to strike a "deal" with
anyone.

o use relative paths when referencing base images - so a
collection of images is not affected when moved to another directory/machine

Great. However, does that mean that I cannot compress an image without merging
it with its base image?

same message 3 times.
I've had similar problems with usb - apparently qemu is unable to restore usb
controllers. Perhaps this is a similar issue - I don't know. If that is the
issue, hopefully such things will be fixed at some stage.

Does sed work, or will it just corrupt the image?

using an absolute path. Is
there a way to change an image's base image reference? (for example when the
base image is renamed / moved to a different directory)
