I'm not sure if your guest OS also needs to be 64-bit, but it better be.

Note however, that as far as I know, all the Qemu accelerators - KQemu
and KVM do not support this.

Very good !
Now, what about the bugzilla ? where to fill bug reports against the stable
version ?

I fully support the idea of having stable branch.
Count me in, as your stable-branch BETA-tester :)

Well, the bugzilla doesn't have to be on the main site, but a _link_ to the
"official" Qemu bugzilla should exist from the main site.

I Tried to launch 2 VMs connected back-to-back on the same host, but nothing
worked, so I wasted a lot of time figuring it out, and my time could be saved,
if Qemu could give proper warning on user stupidity/incorrect action.
At the end, my colleague pointed me to this problem.
Actually I used

Hi Qemu Developers !
Qumranet's Automated testing reveals, that in some cases Qemu double frees
memory and crashes.
Tested with both Qemu-CVS-2007-12-10 and KVM-56 (both Userspace-only and
kernelspace/userspace combo).

Anyway it's nice to hear about this feature.

such a situation, so why re-invert the wheel ? Let's just follow them,
and pause the VM, with displaying a warning message to the user.

Note: most Linuxoids (and OSS mailing-lists) simply filter *all*

Host: Fedora 7, 64-bit, Qemu 0.9, AMD Opteron.
Guest: Solaris 10 (32-bit, 2005 release) aborts install in the middle.
This shouldn't happen. It works on VMware.
Is there any bugzilla ?

Problem 2: Where is Qemu Bugzilla ?

If you want to provide your binary, do it and announce it in this mailinglist.
I have built an alpha version of Qemu setup, for your evaluation. Setup is based on your compilation.I have uploaded it via temporary HTTP server. Here is the link:

Is it hard to access "raw" hardware under Windows ? like Hard Disk...?Under Linux it is easy.

But unfortunately, it comes separately from Qemu package, inside
"OpenVPN" software.
So my recommendation is to:
1) "get" the TAP driver out of "OpenVPN" package, and
2) put it into Qemu setup, and
3) update user docs with that.
I dunno if I will succeed in getting the driver out of OpenVPN, it
