Anyone,
Building from source did not work, hence, I downloaded the entire series
of rpm files for my version of Mandrake.
1.) Can I ignore the 'devel' files when I install the binaries?
2.) Could someone give me an idea what scintilla is and why it should
have been installed prior to sip?

I ran the command (for building sip): "python configure.py" and it
seemed to have gone without a problem. [Note I used no command line
switches.] Afterware I saw some mention that the make encountered a few
errors - and my first impression they were minor. Later I discovered

First question should I be using version 4 with Python 2.2.2 and Qt 3.1.2?
If version 3 is valid, could someone point me to a possible solution to

At least that increases the chance that you will have several fewer
questions if someone has encountered the same problem and I can find it
by reading about older experiences.
