works for me, but I'm only using the -main package and only the passwd
table from that.

python3 nearly all my servers are python2 free.
Except for one where I have opensmtpd-extras installed:
$ cat /var/db/pkg/python-2.7.17p1/+REQUIRED_BY

Note that this is not the -python flavour.
