The purple-matrix-0.20191228 package failed to connect to matrix.org
for me within Pidgin so I started digging. According to the README in
their Github repo, as of 2022/04/11 the project is considered
unmaintained and doesn't support features such as end-to-end

message occurred with a freshly-created default user.

The port is currently on version 2.41.0. I could rebuild it with the
latest version of the source (2.43.0
