Ya, thats right. Review the patch. The widget explorer won't close if you
click on desktop.

I need a nice context menu for kickoff qml. Is someone working on this? There
is a ContextMenu.qml file in plasmacomponents, but it's kinda...empty.

Hi fellows,
What's the best way in a qml widget to interact with the desktop? I.e. how can
I add a launcher to the panel? DesktopScripting doesn't seem to work, also I
didn't managed it to pass a plasmoid object into a C++ plugin to construct a
Plasma::Containment. Is there another possibility
You mean all of them? We have planned to create a dataengine for adding
launcher items to the panel but why would you want to expose a 'Sort menu from
A-Z'? It's strongly tied to the kickoff model.

thanks for the statement. I've addressed most of the points. Of course we
can't include kickoff-qml into KDE 4.10 anymore, the next target will be 4.11
then.

suggestion I want to propose a simplified kwin interface for plasmoids for

In case you didn't notice, I've started working on a rss-podcast plugin for
pmc. You can find some instructions at
http://community.kde.org/Plasma/Plasma_Media_Center/Podcast
It's in pre-alpha state, but you can already play videos from a pre-configured
podcast.
I'm not very familiar with the
her unspectacular ;)
Btw.: is it possible to add horizontal panels? I've a vertical one right now
to add additional feeds, but urls are quite long so horizontal space would be
quite welcome...

I'm not a graphic designer, but if it works and looks good thats fine by me ;)
Maybe there are still some valid usecases for a side-by-side layout of browser
and panel but I'm not sure.
