Project: Better touch screen support in the Plasma workspace

Hello, I came across the Touch screen support Idea for KDEsoc and I am interested in contributing for the same. How should I go about for the same. I have basic knowledge of Qt and experienced in C++. Moreover I have been using plasma,KDE for quite some time now. Thanks.
