Since it seams nobody will weigh in, I +1 one of the following two options:
- provide the FindBlahBlah cmake in PMC (temporary) - this will allow
you to continue working (if you have the headers installed)
- provide the same option kactivities have regarding the installation
of kamdstats headers

At moment kactivitystats library is in the kactivities repository but
is not enabled by default and have the cmake configuration switch for
it which if enabled would install library and headers. Plasma desktop
currently have the copy of the library which is used in kicker and
task manager.
