qml widget: plasma desktop interaction/containments

Hi fellows, What's the best way in a qml widget to interact with the desktop? I.e. how can I add a launcher to the panel? DesktopScripting doesn't seem to work, also I didn't managed it to pass a plasmoid object into a C++ plugin to construct a Plasma::Containment. Is there another possibility
