This code is inside login2.php, which has a form and a flag. The form has
an action to: $PHP_SELF which works fine. But, for some reason
$HTTP_REFERRER is always blank! I want to use that to reload that page so
the cookie takes effect. What is going on?

Not to pimp my own site, but Amdmb.com ( http://www.amdmb.com/ ) uses MySQL
and PHP for everything. We get about 5 million pages a month.

Create a file called .htaccess with this in it:
DirectoryIndex index.php
Upload it to the directory you want it to affect.
This assumes you're using Apache, of course.

almost all of
my PHP pages, there are links to : include ('mydir/myfile.inc');
Can someone tell me how to do a recursive find and replace to look for
/myfile.inc and replace it with myfile.inc.php? I am running Red Hat 7.1
Thanks!

d basis. If my thinking is wrong, you may end up with
the same result for every record, because there's no "where" clause.
You may have to sort that out yourself with some sort of loop. I guess
selecting all those fields, and then doing the arithmetic for each
record should suffice.
g a browser that doesn't support it, the error checking will
simply be ignored, and you'll have been given data that is possibly
erroneous.

Because things they don't want are obviously more abundant. ;) I think
people just want to be happy with the service their host provides, and
that means the host needs to be

It's not. PHP stands for "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor." It's a
recursive acronym.

...and neither does anything I've tried to do as far as eval() goes. I
either get a parse error like this:
Parse error: parse error, expecting `T_VARIABLE' or `'$'' in
c:\path\file.php on line 16
...or some other sort of eval() error.

Actually, it's escape(message).
