If you are going to be doing this a lot, you should take a look at AMFPHP,
Flash Remoting for PHP, at http://sourceforge.net/projects/amfph
I do allot of php to flash communication in my work and I have found that
wddx is by far the easiest and best way to transfer large and small amounts
of both simple and complex data
