Hi,
The PDNS tarball on :
http://www.powerdns.com/en/downloads.aspx
is still the same version, 2.9.22, which is the version that was around a
year ago.
Although I don't use the recursor, I'd though I'd download and compile the
latest pdns, assuming there would have been an update too.
Have I misu
Some more feedback,
a) When editing a domain "notes", I got "RJS Error: Type Error: element is
null", but it still save the text I added, which was "Test notes".
The above error is followed with a dialog with Element.hide ("note") then
show(note-row), update ()..
I'm using FF3 if that is relevant.
Hi,
I gave it a quick go and it imported many domains. *Good work*!

Hi,
Following up on this thread, I got back to tring this GUI again :-)
I just installed the latest code from GIT, and have it running. Its quite
nice. (I had been using pdnsadmin until now).
Being new to rails I've questions though:
a) there is no automated startup file for ubuntu? For now I ju
DOMAINNAME
(although socket-dir=/var/run in pdns.conf the socket is not being created).
Thanks for the tips.

ansfer, on demand from cron.
But I found nothing. I also browsed the source, but didn't see any such
tools.
Have I missed something?

However, when I search for pdns support for ixfr I dind't much much execpt a
patch two years ago to answer ixfr queries and force full transfers.
So ixfr is not yet supported, is that correct?
Thanks in advance,
Sean
Yes that makes sense indeed.

If I query the server with nslookup, relying on the fact that its the first
entry in resolv.conf, powerdns does not respond, probablybecause its a

Hi,
I've set up a pdns as a secondary for a list of internal domains. It is non
authoritive in that its IP address is not listed as a NS in the domain
records.
The pdns is configured to forward any requests it does not understand (e.g.
internet queries) to another DNS server, using "recursor").
Hi,
I cannot answer the recursive query, but I'm am also designing a setup to
replace Bind with split zones. The idea was to replace bind entirely. Maybe
we should share some design ideas?
Current I have two internet ns with bind, with an an internal and external
zone.

Hi,
I'm evaluating pdns to replace a few bind servers that have been running for
years on Solaris.
The mysql backend is great and is the main reason for the move.
Once feature I need is a way of doing round-robin DNS, I searched and found
