I have tried this on both 2.9.21 and 2.9.22 versions. Should I compile any extra module to get this working? Sorry for starting a separate thread. For some reason I did not receive my own post (I have that profile option enabled) and I was not able to find a way to reply from the web interface. R

I am trying to work with the example pipe backend perl script and I am seeing the qtype argument is always set to 'ANY' irrespective of the query type. I have tried this with 'pipebackend-abi-version' set to 1 and 2. The query is sent using dig and command looks like this $ dig MX @192.168.116.117
