Hi Bert,
Thanks for providing your opinion.
Looks like my mysql-slow.log is sitting idle. There's nothing written to it.
I think I minimized those aforementioned powerdns respawning errors.
The two only things that still disturb me are:
Jun 6 15:23:21 ns1 pdns[893]: TCP nameserver had error, cycl
I forgot that PowerDNS actually uses InnoDB tables which uses different
memory settings. Check this over for some good settings:

I remember I set it to 200 while fine-tuning mysql server. Just thinking
that having the default value doubled be sufficient.
These are the other settings that I upped:
key_buffer_size=32M
max_allowed_packet=8M

I had a similar problem. I figured out it was my mailserver doing name lookups
on the 10s of thousands of spams it gets barraged with each day. I solved it
by having my server use the upstream name server for name resolution. When
you think about this, it makes sense, rarely will the name lookup

Hi Daniel,
I found your suggestion very helpful, thanks. The irony is that after deleting
those "\" characters in four domains pdns still complains about unknown escape
sequence. Could it be the character other than "\" that makes exceptions?

Good morning or day, guys.
Is there any explanation or a configuration cure to minimize errors like
this:
Jun 6 08:32:27 ns2 pdns[23831]: 50044 questions waiting for database
attention. Limit is 5, respawning
