Wanted to let all know the problem appears to be resolved.
Evolution handles news and provides full SSL authentication for nntp and
I've had no trouble so far using it for mail on the same server and
there have been plenty of mail issues that generated a
Dug through .pan2 and found the group-preferences.xml file to be
corrupted. The article cache file had almost 1500 articles in it so
they were deleted. I found the one the problems occurred with and the
headers are correct including the PGP from the server as far as I can

messages show up in the std error pop-up complete with the red circle
and horizontal white bar symbol. Doesn't happen all the time but when
