Do you have any newsgroups working at all?
I have noticed something similar, but it looks to me like there is no
activity on a variety of newsgroups. On the other hand, there are a few
newsgroups I look at that do seem to be working, therefore I thought
(think?) that the problem is not Pan but wit
I have something that is similar or identical in binary newgroups. I
am adding this comment in hope it adds something. This happened to me
some time ago. If I try to save attachments I get a small .ERRORS
file. I can see the picture just fine in the body pane. If I download
the text I get a .msg fi
Why doesn't someone post a yenc encoded message and see if they can process
it with pan? I might be able to try this in a while but not at this
moment. I have a yenc encoder but have not tried sending.

There seem to be several choices for a yenc decoder in various Linux
distros. Have you searched for a yenc decoder? It's been a long time
since I used one, but as I recall the process wasn't difficult.

What is the exact name of this group? All I find from my IP is
alt.binaries.picture.britishrailways and
alt.binaries.pictures.britishrailways. Is it one of these? Both of
these show empty from my IP.
