[Pan-users] No success with posting so far

Hello list-members, I'm from Austria and not a native speaker, please keep this in mind. The PAN GUI is German and not English! I found no setting to change the GUI language. PAN version is 0.149 on Ubuntu 22.10 Paid newsserver news.eweka.nl port 563 According to eweka Support I have to post

[Pan-users] size of newsrc-1 file

Hello pan-users, does the size of newsrc-1 influence pan's time to start, to quit or its performance? I use Ubuntu's 16.04 version of pan (0.139-5build1) and it takes rather long until pan appears on Ubuntu's desktop. Can I compact newsrc-1 or reduce its size somehow? Appreciate your help! kr
