I read Usenet, Gmane, want to add SDF over SSH tunnel. The tunnel works
(like ssh -D -p 22 u...@ma.sdf.org,) so I added news.sdf.org:,
but their groups don't appear from refresh. SDF.org just says it's
possible (or with their VPN,) not how.

How do you see/edit the ignored threads list? I'm reading about 200
newsgroups, including one or two pretty full of foreign-language
marketing/religious spam (most don't have any spam nowadays) and
accidentally ignored several threads, instead of authors, and perhaps
some, accidentally, which

Isn't there a way to select many groups at once? The standard multi-
selection shortcut such as in file managers is then arrow or
right mouse button. Recently someone spammed most of around 200 groups
I'm in, and at other times, I'd want to mark something from maybe 1/3 to
90% my groups read,

So, currently I post to both Usenet and Gmane which is great. It's a
little weird I have to manually select the second posting profile in the
list every time posting in Gmane (otherwise get an 'error') though Pan
already of course has the record that all the Gmane groups are on the
Gmane serve
Isn't there something you can set (possibly for each server) like 'get
new headers every n minutes,' and n might have some default (60, 30, 15,
whatever?) Or, do you have to wait all day, then realize maybe there are
a lot of new posts you hadn't got notification for, finally check it
manually
Many articles I read say 'quoted text muted.' Is there no option to
display it in every article by default?

Pan doesn't usually minimize to system tray. Minimizing it *never*
disappears it from the taskbar/panel. I have to select the system tray
icon instead, and that only minimizes it maybe 5% to 10% of tries.

When you select something with the mouse and a menu comes up, you're
supposed to have different keys do different things. It's wrong design
that in the menu for a newsgroup, 'h' is three options, which makes 'h'
not do one of the options, just cycle through the list. The other two
need differ
I'm getting into using Pan instead of Thunderbird (except email) as Pan
seems more like Free Agent, which I used in the 1990s. However, I'm
having to (re)learn many things. I've been checking 150+ newsgroups on
Usenet and Gmane, but some on Usenet, Pan asks me to get the headers over
and over

I'd subscribed to several old Usenet alt.* groups now apparently deleted
from the newsserver (Eternal September)... can't Pan delete deleted
groups when the groups list is refreshed, or is there at least another
option?

Hi, this is my first article with Pan. However, I'd like to be able to
control colours more, to set more dark/black when reading/posting on
Usenet/etc. at night. Is there a way? (some don't seem modifiable)
