Ah, yes. I had put it in /home/maurice/.pan/News, and Pan had it down as
in /home/maurice/News

Thanks, Brad - that's what I thought. I did make such a file (using Kate)
but if I ask Pan to 'Edit Score file' it brings up Vi with an empty file!

Belatedly trying to set up a Score file, I'm having a hair-tearing time with
the 'Edit Scorefile' function in old Pan.
This is not only because it insists on using Vi - an editor totally alien to
my way of working - but because Pan itself gets into a weird lockup.
