I'm not sure if this is the right list for this question, but I'd be
really grateful for any pointers.
I subscribe to a relatively high volume group (uk.politics.misc) and
about 10 other groups. These have all worked fine under Pan, until
recently, when uk.politics.misc has started behaving oddly

BTW, I don't believe I ever saw a resolution to your resolution problem
you had mentioned. Did you ever get your display doing better than
800x600?
