The desktop client (stable) now works using HTTP, not HTTPS. I'm
building the latest source now and am going to try that out.

I´ve found the issue :) It was my fault. I thought the account name can
be renamed in carddav-sync.
Now everything works like a charm.

today i've upgraded to OwnCloud 4 and also the sync-client.
Now the sync-client (with the black cloud) runs perfectly. The only problem
i'm seeing now is that the client eats a lot of memory. (between 40 and 70 %
CPU. Is that a known issue?

Did you definitely upgrade from 3.0.2, not 3.0.3? Upgrades should be done from
the most recent update. All the testing was done with upgrades from 3.0.3.
