Are there any specific reasons why nginx has both ETags and the Last
Modified headers being sent? From my understanding, this is a bit redundant
for most situations.

Thanks for the reply. I realized this morning that this server is actually
running Debian Stable, not Ubuntu.
I don't think that I can downgrade the openssl package, because that would
open me to heartbleed vulnerabilities. I will try standing up a dev server
on Debian Testing to see if the newer
