Check that any other projects with a reference to the file you are
trying to build is closed. Also, you may need to do an IISReset if this
is a web project. IIS can hold a reference to the file keeping a lock
on it and thus not allowing an overwrite.

I don't think I was clear.
On each webserver in our web farm we have multiple websites, each corresponding to a different NAT address. The commonality is that each server uses the same name for each website within the farm, su

mkissdir creates/reconfigures *virtual* directories only.
VS.NET does not create a virtual directory for your project: it creates
a *physical* directory in your webtree and adds configuration for it to
IIS. In doing so, VS.NET makes it clear to IIS that the directory is
physical rather than vir
I can try to reproduce this with some sample code since I cannot release any of what I have here and at least one of the COM .dll's involved here is a 3rd. party library. But I also can tell you that I ran the build again with the 'Debug+' output and got the command-line that was executing when the

I'm building a couple of web projects as well. What I found was that if
you use the tag you don't need to create the IIS virtual
directory at all. My build will work on any machine just by pulling the
.build file out of VSS and running nant against it.
Here's my .build file.
I don't know for sure as it's not our code, but it is likely.

Title: Error trying to check out from VSS
This is an odd error. To me it seems like
it should work. That is assuming that is loaded and it appears
to be loaded… Have you gotten any help on this?
